All That Glitters

Ashish's Chanel jacket redux

Ashish creates the kind of clothes that I'm naturally attracted to: campy, tongue-in-cheek, glittering fun. Never one to shy away from color or sparkles, Ashish is a proponent of sequins for daytime, nighttime, bedtime, and any other time you can splash them across the entirety of your outfit. This season the designer was inspired by the classic Chanel suit jacket, which he fused with a punk-rock sensibility. The revised jacket is of course covered entirely in sequins, down to the fringe, which is made from hundreds of stacked paillettes. The London Punk flair continues with asymmetrical plaid dresses with slanting zippers, holey knit union-jack vests and sweaters, and of course, the requisite creepers. The entire aesthetic can best be described as Sick vs. Chic, a look that has always inspired the way I dress.

Royal Wedding leftovers?

The collection wouldn't be complete without these creepers!

This is probably best collection to come from Ashish. Def love the first 2 and those creepers are cute.

I can't believe it...I'm, I'm in love!

LOVE the HARD TIMES jumper with the hole! I discovered Ashish recently but hadn't seen pieces from this collection until now. Not sure where I might find it in London though/whether that was a menswear piece...?!
