What I love most about many of the designers coming out of London right now is how unafraid they are to experiment and play with wild and unusual color combinations, and mixed prints. One of the most prominent British designers to do so is Jonathan Saunders, who has made a name for himself with his printed textiles, and his talent for engineering his distinct silkscreen designs around pattern pieces. This season Saunders used a vivid array of flora and fauna that have a vaguely tropical feel, and remind me a bit of Jim Thompson's famous Thai textiles. I love the way the bold prints contrast with the strong architectural cuts of the pieces, which update the more traditional looking motifs with a completely modern spin.

i adored this collection!!!
wait this wasn't at the london showrooms was it? I love JS! Thanks for these nice clear closeup pictures :) PS I think it's a mix of screen printing and digital although without seeing it in person its tricky to really tell...
Brandon-
Actually it was at the Starworks press day, where I got my fill of the rest of the London designers I love--more photos to come! Maybe they are digital print, I know that he mainly uses silkscreen though...
